The flagship New York City Festival has grown from one weekend of films into the largest film festival for children and teens in North America. The Festival presents year-round programming and filmmaking camps in New York City, satellite festivals in Miami, FL and Westchester, NY, and a touring program at independent theaters and cultural institutions nationwide. Children are given the skills and tools to learn how to create a variety of films ranging from live action movies to animated features. In addition to its film screenings, the festival also hosts a film camp in which children are immersed in filmmaking workshops and classes lead from professional filmmakers.
